Privacy Policy
We hold details of our members' names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers, how much they have paid, and the date(s) that the payments were made. We do not hold all of this information for every member.
We use this information to send out news about the activities of the friends group. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us. We also can use the information to answer queries (from the member concerned) about membership fees and donations, and for auditing purposes.
The data controller is our membership secretary who can be contacted via the email address at the foot of this page. The data is stored on one or more computers used by the membership secretary, and backup storage devices.
This information is not shared with any other organisation. Data may be stored in a country other than the United Kingdom, for example when sent via a non-UK email provider.
If you wish to see the data we hold about you, or have it changed or deleted, please ask us.
We will retain this data indefinitely, unless asked to delete it. Data will not be deleted from all backups.
The lawful basis (as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation) for processing personal data is "consent".
You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, in which case data relating to your membership will be deleted.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the British Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and other rights.
The provision of personal data to us is not part of a statutory or contractual requirement or obligation. The consequence of failing to provide the personal data is that you will not receive news and information from us.
We collect logs of visitors to our web site in order to monitor the usage of the web site. The data is not personally identifiable. We do not use cookies.
