FRIENDS OF HIGHLANDS GARDENS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – 6th October 2026

1. Treasurer

We elected Jenni Grossman as the new treasurer.

2. Other Business

Jenni will set up a WhatsApp group.

Jenni will ask Ruth for an update on her work on the pond, so that we can all contact the council and/or the contractor depending on what Ruth says.

Ian will organise days for working parties taking silt out of the pond.

Further work in the gardens will be discussed in the future, eg putting up new labels for the tree trail.

We will investigate getting someone to do paid work to help us with the funding bid, eg for lottery money.

We will look at how we can raise the profile and usage of the gardens.

We have had no volunteers to serve as chair, so Charles will remain as acting chair for the moment.

Steve will update Dan Tomlinson MP when he sees him.
